bluh bluh bluh

Made a thing with the Digitakt! A lot of the sounds are from a sample I recorded in my local town centre. Whilst jamming I thought having weird tempo shifts felt cool, but after the fact, maybe I shouldn't have been so drastic smile
I recorded it using Overbridge, but went with the recorded Master Out in the end, adding the usuals in Ableton. There's something about the blend of effects & compression in the DT that I can't quite match in the DAW. Not to mention mixing/effectsing as I go along on the DT feels so much smoother and intuitive to me.
BONUS- I messed around with this afterwards and tried putting some vocals on top of the track. since we're not meant to put ill-gotten samples up here, I've uploaded it to soundcloud heh. I quite like it. I do feel like the lack of lyrics or a voice affects my music.

Welcome back! Vocal chops that sing Go-Ba bits are unique and awesome, remind me of AFX vocals on MT1 off of Collapse EP. Is this all just digitakt main outs plus some bitspeek? Impressive sound! (Been eyeing the Digi / Takt form factor boxes.)

Speaking of these boxes… How is this song structured? I’m not 100% certain if the lack of song mode is all that important if I can swap patterns from the M8 or a bigger Elektron box, but kind of curious how you go about building a long, adventurous, evolving thing on a Digitakt…

That sound byte sounds so chaotic and ominous, it's amazing.

@ilzxc - thanks! feels good to be making stuff again. Yes it's all just mixed on the Digitakt with the usual Bitspeek sprinkling. In terms of structure, I've got 4 patterns that I swap between. Then on each pattern I had the "go ba", the "bluh bluh" instrument which I'd mute/unmute. The bluh-bluh becomes the warbly sound (like at 3:30)on two of the patterns. I think you'd like one of the digi/takt boxes. Perhaps they'll be cheaper 2nd hand, now that the Syntakt is out!

@Devieus - thankyou!
