Aiguille du Midi

By littlebigmosaic on February 25, 2024 10:22 pm

Aiguille du Midi - "Needle of the Midday" - is a mountain in the French Alps. I visited in 2019 and remember the wonder and awe I felt seeing the Alps for the first time. From the peaks in Chamonix, you can see Italy and Switzerland. It was mid-July when I went but felt like spring, then winter as I ascended.

I have a folder of old videos I've captured and sometimes will randomly drag one into my project to breathe some life into it. Birds chirping, laughter, French chatter - this was the one I pulled from the archives this time:

Sample from Nick: trombone

Thanks for listening. Hope you enjoy!

Love the bigness of this and how it opens up.  Got that 70’s analog vibe, and the dueling synths and horns are killer.  Nice!

Solide, le kick feel monstrueux.

Il faudrait bien que je réussise à mettre suffisamment de $ de côté pour aller faire un voyage de snowboard là bas un jour.

C'est dense quand il y a les brass avec les autres synts, super fun listen. Well played.

Thanks for listening! Really trying to embrace that vintage vibe this year

Sounds like a beautiful mountain! And a beautiful track came out of it. Definitely conveys the sense of exploring an unfamiliar place. smile

I visited the neighboring Swiss Alps years back and had a similar feeling of awe, well-conveyed here! The trading synths with different timbres sound so cool, and the trombone is a really nice addition.

Great chord changes and horn melody over the top. Favorited!

Man, this is so groovy and beautiful. Sorry I've missed your tracks so far this year, I'm coming back for all of them.

oooh this is giving me some warm fuzzy feeling. sounds like something that might have discovered in Free Music Archive back in 2010, and that is pretty dang wonderful!

Enjoy this so much, love the sounds of people talking and the birds, snowboarding in the Rocky Mountains right now so have those awe inspiring mountain vibes in my mind right now, great track

Mountains are often the topic in Music--I felt the Alps again--thanks!
