if you wanna play the same riff for 5 minutes with some cheesy drum variations, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

factory samples - default pattern kick and (I think) cowbell, and much loop point manipulation of 1 or 2 noise sample(s), one of which was resampled (intro "ambient" pattern).

Yeah, this is the kind of stuff we do here on Weeklybeats (and according to some people, digitakt).  At the very least, this is the place where people like me will sit through all 5 minutes, bopping their heads to each variation (the transition to the one at 4:28 wins, without a doubt).

Loved the lush/metallic intro. The kick sound wasn't my favorite but no one is making me listen! tongue I do agree that the 4:28 transition is the best one.

thank you! that's funny because I think the 4:28 one was the first one I did. first thought, best thought, I guess! thank you both for listening through big_smile

I totally agree on the kick. I want to change my sound design habits to leave more room for other stuff.

You, that shit at 1:49 is oldschool rave vibes, and yet again reminds me of Snivilization-era Orbital (some bits also sound like the Brown Album, but Sniv's my favorite record of theirs). Feeling that oldschool rave vibe a lot.
