sorry, I phoned this one in. bog standard comfort zone mute unmute bassline beats crap. the last week or so has made me want to crawl into my shell. hopefully I'll be back to my old self soon.

I really love the choke on the kick and how it leaves a little micro silence before the next gesture. I also really hope you feel better. sad

Is that Analog Rytm I'm hearing? The kick sounds massive even on laptop speakers, going to bump it in my car later -- pretty huge sound.

Hope you're well!..

thank you very much! I think it was just a lot of unintentional trampling on boundaries, and I should have given myself more real alone time. I am trying to see it as a good opportunity to reset and refresh and reconsider what is important and what brings me joy.

thank you! doing better now, I think. I hope you're well too.
nope, this one's all m8! looks like the kick is good old Macrosynth 21. the patch something I saved off called "KICK-HARD" and I'm not sure whether I made it or got from somewhere else. let me know how it sounds in the car wink

This owns in my car.

Good luck getting the motivation back! A track is a track, it counts!

there is an Autechre track on the album PLUS ("Marhide") and the beat is super super slow, but the "musicality" actually comes from the noise and reverb.

anyway, this was a HOT beat.

ooh, thank you for the kind words and also for reminding me - I haven't listened to PLUS enough and have been giving its twin SIGN all the attention.

same except replace SIGN with "The Last Track On SIGN"

Oh but that intro track... those blossoms of reverb pads (swoon)

tis the kick drum i've searched far and wide for... the type of kick drum that makes you check to see if you've put on fresh adult diapers this morning, only to realize you hadn't yet started wearing adult diapers and therefore should start wearing them posthaste! upon hearing this kick drum heart

thank you for calling out this kick drum. I reused it (with slight tweaks) this week after reading your comment. sometimes I take for granted the treasures I stumble upon in my synth travels until I get the perspective of other weary travelers and realize I've stumbled upon gold. my moral code demands that I share this wealth with the tribe of synth nomads in the form of m8 patch and WAV (soon)

Slinky slithery, I'm doing a side shuffle kinda dance, like I saw the ballet ponies doing in the Lilac parade. They are more badass than their frilly outfits indicate. They own the street. This is there anthem. Dressage, that's the thing. Nice vibe.
