I goofed this week. I was thinking on Sunday about how I want to beef up my sample library. Instead of just recording stuff, I decided I wanted to make a little sample capture tool. Well, things went sideways, and I decided it was not worth the effort right now and I burned a lot of free time on that. Oh well.

Anyway, as far as what I ended up with, this week I was listening to a lot of what I guess is called "dark electro" and I thought it would be cool to try to make something with that kind of a vibe. To that effect, I thought it would be fun to do a jam with my analog stuff, so I just plugged it in today (Sunday) and farted around to see what I could pull out of their little sequencers. It turned out pretty corny and happy, but that's fine. Maybe I will give myself more time this week to explore actual musical ideas.

I like the end part a lot

Yeah, it seemed that way last week too. TT-606 and Monologue. There's a little extra stuff going on though.

Thank you! Yeah I made some mistakes punching stuff in and I think I was starting to find the interesting stuff toward the end of the jam.

Doesn't sound too happy or corny. LIke the bass synth, good synth sounds. I like where the beat goes about halfway in. It's a long one, but the end is cool!

I actually quite liked this and i agree with miraclemiles, it doesn't come across as corny. There are plenty of strong ideas in here that keep the track moving and growing. Great sounds.

I agree, it def doesn't sound corny.  Excellent drum groove but especially enjoyed the bendy synth bass line.

Hmm, don't know, the intro bass and drum grove has a very dark electric vibe. Especially as the track progresses and you have that section with the heavier reverb (midpoint). The bass sequence sequence and sound is killer. I think you hit your target a lot closer than you think smile  What are you using for the bass line?

Thanks man! Good ol' monologue. Yeah I should use the 606 more I think. I totally ripped the fills in the middle off Drexciya big_smile

Thank you very much, I appreciate it!

Thank you very much smile Those bendy bits are fun, I should play with those more.
