From the maple trees,
fledgling pancakes flap their jacks
as they learn to fly.

My submission for the third round of #WeeklySeasons. It was a funny experience, trying to write a track about autumn in the middle of summer, but I hope this one turned out okay!

Farewell, fledgling pancakes. Flap those jacks :')

Mmmmm flap jack rabbit!

very refreshing to have fall come so early
Also a welcome surprise vocal presence
- Ebrit

got that beautiful falling-leaves feel of fall, flowing light like an air of joy

Really enjoyed how the vocals sound in the mix relative to the other instruments.  It sorta reminds me of an epic jrpg but like obviously wandering through crunchy fallen leaves smile

Thanks! I feel like Fall can never come fast enough. Then again, I'm not much of a summer person.

Thanks! The vocals are actually from Spitfire Labs. The VST is gorgeous, but the sample's already got such a defined shape that you have to be careful how and how often you use it. To be honest, I think I overdid it here, but I'm glad to hear that the track turned out okay.

I feel that (I think it likes summer a bit more to a degree), but yea, fall is so nice, the smells, the cool breezes, all that nice stuff.

The background pad, I have to know where it's from :0. It definitely still feels like summer here, but this track seems to fit all the same. Lovely.

awwww, the album is over already!  that was too short.  great job on everything, enjoy all those notifications.

REALLY love the "vocals" PLEASE do more of that!!!!!

Thanks! And sorry for the delayed reply. The pad I think you're talking about is probably the boys' choir preset in Logic, with some ADSR tweaks. I like that pad a ton and I've gotten a lot of mileage out of it since WB 2020!

Oh, I certainly did enjoy them. big_smile Popping WB open the other night and reading them legitimately brightened my day. Thanks so much!
(And +1 about the actor in the gif. Amazing stuff.)
