I get a good old snes rpg vibe.

I don't know why, but it reminded me that Final Fantasy 8 card game that could be super frustrating... smile

Nice track.

Very lovely! what did you use, sounds quite SNES as mentionned! heart

This and learned lads are my favorites. What is ROUS (as in VGM / ROUS enthusiast)?

an extraordinary instrumentation. beautiful and calming song. well done.

I really love the feel of your tracks; super evocative of my childhood playing video games at home during the summer smile Nice work!

*fails at minigame for 100th time in a row* "oh well, at least i get to listen to this nice song again"

love this, sounds like a peaceful fishing game heart

totally sounds like a RF track, but I digress....

WAY too short!  downloading to put on repeat!

Love the melodies on this one! The supporting instruments and the way everything is introduced is also very nicely done. Lovely work sir o7.

You just know you gotta do those minigames for 100% completion, but dammit if they aren't the hardest thing ever
Good thing the music's nice

Nice track.

Thank you! Haven't played too much FFVIII, but I liked what I got to try of it. Certainly a fan of the soundtrack. big_smile

Thank you! I mostly used Cinesamples VSTs and stock Logic instruments.

ROUS means Rodent of Unusual Size - which I use to refer to capybaras. big_smile It's a Princess Bride reference.

Thanks! Video game nostalgia definitely seeps into a lot of what I write. smile

Hehe, thanks everybody! I was hoping this would turn out minigame-appropriate.

That's kind of you - I was actually worried it wasn't short enough. Thank you!

You nailed it too, with that beautiful gif. Thank you!

That wind instrument melody is super dope, carries a lot of movement of the song and I especially appreciate how it has a consistent motif but is either ending different or moving in octaves so that its always something new we're hearing.

Thanks! I tried to keep it playful but consistent, so I'm glad to hear it worked out okay. big_smile

wtf I haven't heard this and earlier music this year -- evening just got better, still. The wind writing is delightful (do you write for humans much? it bothers me when breathing through wind lines is impossible, so when I hear things like the breath gap at 1:11-1:12, things feel right).
