The forest smells like...
Baked dirt. Fried wheat. And bay leaves.
Must be summertime.

Special shoutouts this week to everyone who pitched in with advice for getting through music-making ruts. For the first time in a while, I'm starting to feel energized by my WB submissions again. Thanks for the tips and encouragement that helped make that happen. You folks are the WeeklyBest. heart

That goes for you too, Dad. Thanks for supporting and encouraging me, both in music and in pretty much everything else. Happy Father's Day! heart

And Happy Week 24! Getting close to the halfway mark now, eh?

Really nice rhythm you got going on here, and the sitar/plucked strings got a nice melody smile. I really like 1:14 because it feels like we just left the atmosphere and started drifting among the stars.

The WB burnout is very real! Just keep at it, we are almost half done!

You are the weekly beat as well, it wouldn't be the same without these wonderful pictures you paint with your lovely tones.

Excellent pace to this with the percussion and main melody.  I really enjoyed the chord progression too.  Def know that WB_burnout feeling.  Just keep on pushing forward with each week and don't think too far ahead.  The beauty of this website is having everyone around to help with inspiration & motivation smile

Thanks! I've been trying to come up with more driving rhythms, so hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

True, and well said. Thanks for the kind feedback and encouragement!

glad you are/were feeling energized!  i'm still actively FRIZZLED and FRAZZLED but hopefully will figure out how to get some relief.

the delay on those plucks help it feel a little frazzled, like "there's a lot going on in the background of my mind"
