[lyrics]
(verse 1)
32-bit? doesn’t quite fit
(falling a bit behind the times…)
we’re in the age of the 64-bit operating system now!
**
32-bit? might as well quit
(falling a bit behind the times…)
looks like your VST’s gonna have to find somewhere else to sit, pal!
**
(chorus)
falling a bit behind the times,
are we falling a bit behind the times?
are we falling behind?
**
(verse 2)
32-bit? not a big hit
falling a bit behind the times…
just another casualty of modern technology
**
32-bit? who even needs it?
falling a bit behind the times…
and if you really liked that one synth bass so much, why don’t you go make it in alchemy?
**
(chorus)
**
(verse 3)
32-bit? gotta admit
(falling a bit behind the times…)
it had it’s time, and now it’s time to go
**
32-bit? it’s time to omit
(falling a bit behind the times…)
sometimes it’s cool when things go 64-bit, like Nintendo!
**
(chorus)
**
(outro)
[This is a message from Logic Pro X. The plug-in named “M1” isn’t available on your system. Choose another plug-in, or quit Logic Pro X and install the plug-in on your computer in order to use it in the project. Or quit Logic Pro X and install another digital audio workstation. Or quit Logic Pro X and install another operating system. Or quit Logic Pro X and install another computer. Or quit Logic Pro X and install another fun artistic time consuming activity, like painting, or sculpting, or sketching, or arranging flowers, or sweeping a rock garden, or baking elaborate cakes for Twitter, or dancing, or pottery, or poetry, or Tik Tok, or writing your very first novel, or ghostwriting someone else’s very first novel, or first writing someone else’s very ghost novel, or writing your autobiography, or writing your manual biography, or writing haikus in your weeklybeat descriptions because how could that possibly go wrong, or podcasting, or making YouTube videos, or quit Logic Pro X and install another timeline…]

No, not THAT kind of behind. (Or THAT kind of bit, for that matter.)
Shifting to Catalina screwed a lot up this week. There are worse problems to have and possible fixes for it, but learning that Korg Legacy Collection M1 couldn't make the jump to a 64-bit OS (pending updates) was a bit-
( x_x)*slap* <(•_• ) (•_• ) (•_• )
-of a letdown. That KORG M1 VST had been my go-to since early on in WeeklyBeats 2018, and I've gotten more mileage out of it than just about anything else.
So here's to you, Korg M1 VST. You are gone, but not forgotten, because you are not gone, you are just temporarily incompatible. May a thousand presets sing thee to thy slumber.
Also, Happy Week 29.
