Gorgone

By LeCroqueMonsieur on May 24, 2026 6:15 am

The guys from my band (@dreat, @BurnedOutSun and somebody not on WeeklyBeats) got me a pedal of delay for my birthday, so I had to try it and also record this week with it smile

This week the bass track features that pedal as well as my octaver on distortion settings. The rest of the instruments go dry into the iRig and then I deal with it on the iPhone. Drum tracks are as usual MIDI.

I handled the song pretty well considering I didn’t know where to go with it. This is a different idea that I had years ago and the song was called “Sirens”. This time I chose to call it “Gorgone” like Medusa in the Iliad.

French lyrics again, in a style close to Alain Bashung perhaps. Anyway, happy with the result of something that wasn’t supposed to work!

NB: I am supposed to prepare a video of recording it.

Happy you like it! big_smile

It has some really Gorgon vibes, great job! Also, that solo heart

I see there's no stopping you with an iPhone now, but you make it sound really good. Chapeau bas!

Subdued, restrained growling guitars will always appeal to me.  The french really works for this song.
