Hi gang!
This week i dug out a wip from exactly 2 years ago. Time was short the last days, so i tried my best to build something nice out of the loop i created back then. The vocal sample is from splice. All done in Ableton.

Thanks for listening! smile

Congrats on finishing an old track—one of my favorite aspects of weeklybeats!

I really dig this blend of delayed elements, vocals, warm synth leads, and cool beats.  Was wondering about that '180bpm' tag until the beat really fired up about halfway through tongue

Such a thoughtful piece, hands down one of the best submissions this week. Retriggers are spot on!

I like the hard beats over slower background.

Very dope. I love this melody.

Love the busyness complemented by just the right amount of space in this track heart

Sounds cool. Completing old tracks always feels like a fun challenge to me. In a way, you are collaborating with an older version of yourself. I think I probably should pull an older track for this week too. I've been enjoying just doing random things this year.

This is dope. Love the contrast between the slow melody and fast drums in this.

the vocals give me such a burial vibe.
that is one of the biggest compliments i can give

Thanks ineff! Initially i started this track at 90 bpm. But after adding the drums i felt like this isnt 90 bpm anymore. big_smile

Thanks ENC!
Yeah, its a challenge for sure. Sometimes i struggle to get back in the mood of the track. But when i do its quite nice to work on it, because after some time and distance to the track its clearer what elements are working for the track and which maybe need to go or need some more work to fit better.
Thanks again for your comment! smile
