With apologies to Brad Fiedel

Let's call this a 'If You Know You Know' kind of thing.  Just a bit of fun this week, over using Roar and doing no justice to sample packs put out by Snakes of Russia.  My terrible mixing skills and it's compression to mp3 did this track no favors.

Also the first film is better than the sequel...and I will die on this hill.  Seriously, it is so much better.

Samples used from Snakes of Russia.  Check out his music if you like dark synth music.
Made in Ableton

You nailed the feel. I didn’t know Brad Fiedel off the top of my head (much less that he had composed for the Terminator movies)…and my reaction while listening was, “damn, this is some great cyber horror”. Seriously.

Excellent feeling of menace. The clacky sound that came in at :49 put me on edge in a good way, and lived the other mechanical samples.

Related: I agree with your cinematic assessment. Two is fun and spectacle, but doesn’t come close to the feeling of dread in the first.

Holy shit, this legit made me feel super anxious. Amazing job setting the atmosphere here, you knocked it out of the park! I'm not in the know about what this is originally in reference  to, but hot DAMN, is it good on its own!
The whole piece really reminded me of the soundtrack to The Terminator, especially those last "bangs".

OH SHIT, HAHAHAHAHA... It turns out I actually do know the reference!!! HAHAHAHAHA, friggin amazing!!!! I guess you hit bull's eye on this one, friend heart

Again, fantastic job smile

Always a fan of your approach to percussive effects. Gotta agree with the  Frog uptop, excellent cyber/machine horror atmosphere.

Also I totally knew the reference and didn't need to google it. (Pls no bully)

Love the industrial sound selection throughout.  Feeling those Fiedel drum cues but this also gave me some Mr. Robot dark vibes as well.  That open air sounding pad around 2:30ish is awesome.

Quite an interesting mix between the industrial beats and the pulsing tones being at the forefront more so.  Forces you to listen in a different light.

I've actually worked on a music team with Joseph (Snakes of Russia) for a US tv series a while back.  He makes some solid beats, that's for sure.
