Just couldn't stick the landing with this one.

Granulator III - I might be in love.  This track is one cello sample in Granulator across 7 channels, obviously cut up, mangled and processed differently.  Was fun.  Less fun was the 3 hours I spent last night looking for a vocal sample to stitch the track together with, never did find it.  And hot damn was my YouTube recommended page ever a mess when I woke up this morning.

Made in Ableton

I could see how you’d like a vocal sample on top of this, but I think it stands on its own, and solidly. Your drones are so cinematic and musical. I love how the melodic fragments bubble up and then subside. I get images of traveling through the desert, heat waves coming up, long environmental shots. The music totally paints a picture. Good track.

man super inspired to play with granulator now. this has this like.... godspeed you! black emperor vibe to it. it's pretty and dreamy and somehow hits this magical spot of being calm and just a little unsettling. so cool.

Love the mood and growly texture the cello provides.  Those lil swirly bits that respond to the deeper cello groans are extra pleasing.  Feels like i'm underground waiting for the next train but it hasn't arrived in hours yikes

The opening minute of this really feels like a spin on the soundtrack from Witcher 3. Specifically when you meet the crones in the bog for the first time. Very cool!

Thank you, it's super cool to hear when people say what they imagine when hearing all this weirdness.  For sure I am going to play with these ideas and tones some more.

Thanks for listening, and yeah try as I might to avoid it the creepy always finds its way in.  Granulator is so much fun, bit of a trap though - I spent so much time moving the focus aound to hear all the different textures and tones for no other reason than just listen to them.

Thanks.  Those responds were such a happy little mistake, I didn't mean for the notes to explode into so many little fragments but when I heard them I decided to lean in it.

Dude, I love those crones.  The ones with bees in her face, so wonderfully fucked up.  I've not listened to that score in ages...in fact I may need to play it again once I put Elden Ring to bed.  Thanks for listening as always,

I enjoyed the subdued element to it and didn't miss the vocals.  Sometimes it's good to have that extra space.  Less is more as the saying goes.  Good to see you're enjoying your NI stuff.  smile
