Kandarian Strings in C major

That bit in Evil Dead where they are all sitting around the reel to reel tape player listening to the incantation...if you imagine words from that tape sampled and mixed into this track you'll get an idea of what I was aiming for.  Alas, copy written and very identifiable if you know your classic horror movies.

Made in Ableton
Written with blood in the Necronomicon Ex Mortis

really outstanding atmosphere. I could hear this in a camp fest like Evil Dead or something newer like say, The Ritual. It feels like a spooky forest or a desolate cabin, you really nailed it.  The track has an almost constant pressure build to it that really shines at around 1:50.

Thanks man, I'm glad it sounded like I'd hoped.  Also, The Ritual is such an underrated film, excellent pick.

I agree with Beefpounder, there is def a constant feeling of pressure and tension.  From those flared out strings to the lower sounding almost oboe-like tones ooof something wicked this way comes yikes  Excellent mood and atmosphere.

Oh man, GREAT textural elements here.  The strings are mixed soooooo well, and the use of the staticy noise, particularly with the stereo field effects as it cuts in and out... just awesome.  I think you nailed that Evil Dead vibe.
