Spasmodic dreamland

This week I didn't finished my first intended project, so I turned to this beat from 2011 for early inspiration. Guess it's my soundtrack to a creepier digital Alice In Wonderland fairytale.

Heavy bass and a circuit bended children's toy saying (in Spanish) "Hello! Let's play some music! Please press a button". Hope you dig these weird beats

Ooof, that beat hits you like a cool, peppermint breeze. Really nicely mixed this week, Laguna!

Thanks man! I had the original beat going around 16 bpm faster. It all was made with a Roland MC 303 back in ... 2004?. I'm trying to use that "everything is a sample" philosophy from back in the Modplug Tracker days, so I dumped everything and started chopping and intentionally dephasing some measures.

Then I spaced out some drum bounce with different time stretch settings in Ableton along with the original. Some more timestretch and convolution reverb... It gets a little bit too glitchy in some moments and maye needs some editing, but I loved the initial jerky stuttery feeling of it.

I'm envying your clean, tight as f*** beats from this week!

it's a ten!

Sweet! I'm not sure I'll ever figure out how you guys make such sweet sounds from a bunch of samples. When I try things like that, it sounds like ass.

As good as  "new-jack-dancer." And that was damn good.

¡Hola! weird and wonderful. Beats are badass and the synths fit them perfectly!!!
