Seven is absent

By laguna on March 24, 2024 11:43 pm

Things were kinda OK Sunday morning, but Guitar Rig 6.4 refused to start, no matter what, and almost all my song was based on it. Another one for my love/hate relation with Native Instruments.

I don't really know how to call this. Some simple Roland TR-707 samples, some more virtual pedals... and suddenly it's the evening and everything sounds so strange.

Love you all... I need to go to sleep now

Ha, I had a similar issue with Roland Cloud D-50 this week: it suddenly claimed to not be authorized, while their Cloud software claimed I had no Internet access. Had to reinstall the Cloud client and things went back to normal, but that's definitely a big wrench thrown into the gears of creativity.

Your short track is vaporware. Truly!

I hate these things with plugins so much, I had a similar issue with my plugin alliance effects recently, had to reauthorize them all. love the processed drums, really great sounds

very dig the lofi texture of this quick ditty!  descending into lower and lower echelons of more and more vapeurwave

Sorry for the ultra late answers, really. I guess it's better late than never, though anyway, excuse me for being so absent

Oh, thank you. I think I feel I never had any knack for the vapourwave thing. In my main this is plain hip hop but, actually, hip hop heads give me weird looks.

I tend to gravitate to free and/or small developer plugins these days. I get "it's the standard of the industry" and such, but sometimes major developers screw it big time. Like Roland's SP 404 mk2 plugin (why does it need a plugin? I don't know). It installs inadvertly into everything and then it crashes various DAWs because reasons. And after every HARDWARE update... you have the damn plugin again, in your harddrive.

And it's sad I really bought Komplete for the Reaktor engine, really. I've never found their stuff that "amazing", to begin with, but then you think "maybe I'm doing something wrong, because I don't get it".

Thanks a lot, Bleeoop. I love to put my drum machines (be it virtual or real hardware) through guitar effects and amps. I spent a couple of hours finding "the perfect crunch" and then... crash. And another crash... and another crash... but basically, it's a 707 with some Rammstein "signature amps" (at least I think son... I was so pissed)

Thank you, bryface! As I commented previously, I thought it was "real hip hop", though I was the oddball between the hip hop heads smile

Anyway, I think the beat is quite decent, IMHO
