This week I've finished long before the deadline but, however, can't help feeling a little bit ... Meh

Some turntablism heavily edited (I'm not that good with the decks). Native Instruments Prism synth for the ghost pads and some VHS tape bounces to give it certain atmosphere. D16 Phoscyon for the bassline and Ableton for the sequencing.

I guess I'll catch up with some Weeklybeats listening. Looking forward to hear your works smile

Highly enjoyable turnablacid

Awesome!

sounds great!

very great turntablism for my taste (and skills) and delicious selection of sounds, too. Very anjoyable to listen to!

Absolutely great!

We all feel a bit meh sometimes about our own stuff (trust me i know that feeling) but I think that might come from how we immerse ourselves over and over in the track.  To fresh ears this sounds friggin cool smile  I like the 303 weaving in and out of the hip hoppy beat.  Well done! smile

Love this track!

Thank you guys, really! It's been crazy this week, so sorry for not answering before. I spent more time hearing your awesome stuff and wondering "So now what should I do?" smile . You all rock!

Thanks, man. I've seen that you usually feel "meh" about some great tunes of yours. I deeply appreciate your words

Shoulda been "turntablacid" actually smile

This is way cool. Really really groovy.

in times of leap motion and fancy shmancy ipad controllers, reading about handmade turnableism sounds quite gourmet!

Thanks man! Trying to give it some funky feeling within a classic 16 steps sequencer

Thanks Dreikelvin. YOUR stuff is really gourmet lately indeed, with all that Reaktor sound design. I'm quite lame with decks actually, and took me like forever to do some decent double bassdrums. Lots if takes and heavy editing ... Wish I could flare and transform better. Anyway, with Traktor and the like, I'm sadly dissapointed to see so many "performers" messing endlessly with filters, woobling brostep routines and beat repeats instead of doing more simpler but musical basic tricks, kinda old school. Now we don't need to search for beats on plastic, we could scratch our own music!

Maybe I'll try some Dj Premier style with my own vocals. I should try to use my own samples, though, so it could fit the Weekly Beats philosophy

Acceeeeid! Loving the baseline and the slightly glitchy drums!
