Quimica

Hi Y'all. "Chemistry" is the word for this week.

I don't really have a clear explanation for this one. This is a fusion of one stalled Behringer BR8 jam and some ambient sketches I made while experimenting with the old E-MU Emulator X sampler.

Been busy fixing some stuff at home, and printing lots of supports and various mundane stuff I needed to improve my studio. Not much music making, yet a lot of studio improving.

I arrived at Sunday evening with no clear idea, yet at the last moment I decided to fuse these two. I'm afraid they don't match and they sound super weird, and all because I couldn't find and amplitude follower in Ableton.

The beat is modulating 2 vocoders with the piano track as carrier, while the same piano ambience goes out filtered (highpass) by the kick amplitude as sidechain control.

Weird routing. I ran out of time to properly EQ the piano. I threw a whole drum buss on the master.

Maybe it is a complete mess. Hope you find this chaotic jam somewhat enjoyable... and don't forget to be very happy this following 7 days. smile

Incredible 808 amigo!!!!!

Excellent wobbly synth sounds, goes great with the 808 and the percs. Studio tour some time? I must confess I have very little idea of how your workflow actually functions.

Nice jam, feeling aquatic vibes with this one. The filters on your drums are always really good.

A chill laid back groove that gave me some Ulrich Schnauss feels with the delays and ambient piano.  Keep on keepin' on!

The 808 is so smooth, could throw anything on this one and it will work, I like the laid back feel of this, feels like the sun rising in the morning, great way to start the day.

It doesn't sound chaotic at all! In fact it sounds really chill and relaxing, as if it was always meant to be fused like that!
