Quantized and confused

Slightly melancholic piece for the Ecuator of Weeklybeats!!! We've made it to the middle of it
Rendered 4 minutes before the deadline, and maybe a little rough in the mix.
I started with some OpenModPlug Tracker sketch that I finally synchronized between all my Linux, my OSX and my Windows machines (thanks Wine/CrossOver!). That's some technical rant I'd save you, that consumed most of the week. Long story short, Sunday evening and I just had 8 bars of drums and a rather "meh" background of sorts... And almost any clue what to do next!
I tried my usual cheap tricks to add some life (Not sure if they worked)
- the send of the background/atmospheric sample is then send to a pitch shifter (-1 octave) -> delay -> sidechain and then to a reverb with mutual feedback.
- filter some elements so you seem to be a clever producer
Then, inspired mostly by my jealousy about Ipaghost talent, I tried to "jam" on my keyboard, with some lame result that of course had to be heavily quantized. Tried to stay on key... Sounded a little melancholic, I think (but still not "Ipaghostly Mellow").
I should keep trying... Maybe one day
Glad we all arrived here at week 26. We made half a year worth of songs, dudes!!! No doubt, the incredible amount of talent I see here keeps me pushing forward
