Caves of Minim

By laguna on July 8, 2018 11:59 pm

Just a remaster of an old forgotten 2001 Impulse Tracker file I found ...

Posted in a hurry. I dump my module to audio tracks 2 hours prior to the deadline and did some minor mastering and some basic editing. Quite muddy for my taste, so I kept working on it the following day and uploaded a Soundcloud link for any of you interested in the end result.

I'm really enjoying this. Soundcloud version seems marginally crisper.

Thanks a lot for listening Jim. Sorry for not answer your feedback this last weeks. Things had been hectic at work...

Glad you liked it. Sounds a little too old-fashioned to me but, again, I don't have a proper perspective because the base material is so old! It still remind me of my ModPlug tracker days on Windows 98!

I hope to give some more old material the "crisp" treatment wink

omg that endless crisps gif is like pornography for me!

listened to the SC track, somehow it does have Win98 vibes! - loving it but really distracted by the endless crisps, seriously NSFW

What? that mix is sharp enough to cut diamonds... got a bit of an edge to it. Cool sound!

I can't deal with the word "crisper" since that became a building block technique for human genetic modification. But I do like me some chips!

Hey, Orangedrink!... This piece is very old, maybe made using some Windows 98's TS404:a small program from back in the day... imagine, you could render your own "virtual synth" lines (not in realtime!)... So very glad it brought you some distant w98 memories smile

Thanks a lot for listening! Now some yummy loop:

I didn't knew about the genetic modification stuff... weirdly, the soundcloud applet plays only mono audio to me. I'm puzzled. Anyway, I'm glad you like that mix. Is not bad for an almost 20 year old tracker module!

Thanks a lot, NWSPR!

Love those filtered crunchy drums melding with the squelchy synth line.
