This week's not about me as an artist, but as producer and engineer. I'll go to the backseat while my man Javier A.K.A. Franz J Bleu takes the wheel. We took his original composition, placed the mics and turned on the tapes. I put my mixing skills, and he and his guitar brought the magic.
As a producer, my job is give advice and the required guidance to the artist to help him make the most of his idea, without losing the original feel and energy. For all electronic musicians like myself, turning off the synths and samplers and just contribute to another artist's efforts is a great experience when you learn as much as you give, if not more!
