Emerald green blizzard

By laguna on January 19, 2014 10:20 pm

Last week I feel knocked out under a really strong influenza... so my vocal track remains incomplete!

My voice isn't ready yet to make any efforts, so I came out with this one. Maybe the harmony is quite poor, but I kept the idea warm and didn't stop much to hesitate.

Heavy snow and cold wind in southern Spain today ... Good day for some music making smile

Made with Ableton and the marvelous Plogue Chipsounds plug-in. Almost everything is rendered to audio, then altered. Starting with a very basic idea, the great thing about "bouncing tracks into samples" is that you stop trying to create "the Definitive Electronic Patch" and keep creating with what you got. No turning back (almost).

Hope you like it

dig it man and totally agree with bouncing stuff to audio. Tend to waste a whole lot of time on getting the cut or res in "the sweet spot" that ends up changing in the mix anyway lol

This is pretty solid work. It's great what you did in a week!

Thank you! It was actually in a single day... Hope it counts for the times I mess with an idea for 6 days without getting anywhere!

great beat! also great chip sounds. reminds me a lil bit of flylo!

Thanks Precious Kindred! That's quite a compliment

Really digging the "half-tempo" vocoded-up, filtery beat! The bass drum drops out on just the right moments to get my head bopping big_smile
