Almost no time for music making, apart from some experiments on my new favourite VCV Rack. I'm struggling to improve the performance on Linux, so this was recorded on macOS and treated with some slight Ableton mastering and filtering.

Nothing fancy, just 4 minutes of self generative Turing Machine randomness and a quantizer. Hope it's good for watering the plants or something smile

Have a great week, wherever you are!

You had me at "self generative Turing Machine randomness".  How does it feel to hear the music of something you created and set in motion? Makes for very pleasing ambient music.

Bubbly and joyous. Reminds me of Music Mouse (Laurie Spiegel's generative software, unfortunately no longer operative).

Oh snap this is amazing!  I love these sounds - This reminds me of the intro to the Metal Gear Soundtrack!!  So awesome.

Such bubbly and percolating sounds bouncing around.  yikes

I'm catching up with the comments. Please excuse me for the late replies, guys.

I think it's very relaxing just set a bunch of rules and "let the thing play itself". Of course, there are lot of failures in the process, though I think that's part of the fun smile

Thanks a lot, NWSPR. Really glad you dig this little ambience.

Now I must check the Metal Gear saga smile Seriously, I have the early Metal Gear stuff on playstation (1 and 2) but have never played. My cousin was so freaking skilled on stealth games and he was always like "try this!" that was the opposite of encouraging to me after so many ultra difficult games.

Years have passed. I'll give it a try.

And thanks a lot for listening and the kind words smile

It's nice to think of them as bubbles of analog noise, really. Nice metaphor, Eric smile

Thanks a lot smile
