Digital heartbreak

Hello WeeklyBeats!
After a one-week hiatus and a long absence from the comments, I came back with this one. It's a little bit different from my traditional sound, though I'm quite happy with it, although it's really odd to hear me out loud "singing" (and pretending to be Luther Vandross for 10 seconds in the privacy of my room).
The bassline came to me in a dream, I swear, and I think the main idea of the song is almost like I dreamt, accounting for all the stuff I forgot the second I sat in front of the keyboard. I tried to keep it on a real eighties mindset so no clever microediting, no overproducing (from a 2018 perspective), lots of reverb (even on the master) and a simple delay. Just multilayered FM synths (presets from Ableton's Operator) and an almost untouched Roland TR-707 (samples of it, actually).
The lyrics are quite simple, indeed. I started mumbling and these words seem to fit and make some sense:
You don't want for me what I wish for you
You don't want for me what I wish for you
You don't want for me what I wish for you
I'm gonna save my love for someone that's true
Lot's of people here are quite more skilled than me on the harmony side of things, so please don't mind the basic chords. I'm quite clumsy when it comes to melodies, but I think this one is "hummable" and easily adaptable to, let's say, an 8 bit version.
I wish I could do a videogame out of this song. Something in it keeps bringing images of neon fake Miami nights and romance adventure... If anyone is interested in this (fake?) videogame soundtrack, or a similar concept, please let me know.
I'll be definetely catching up with your music and comments. Now please have a great week!
Lots of love to all of you from Madrid, Spain
