Closing time

A somewhat bizarre ending work to a bizarre year:
I've been unable to finish a single "beat oriented" work in the last month. I felt "kinda" blocked so, after returning home from watching "Wonder Woman 1984" (good time with a friend, bad movie) I tossed this weird joint in a couple of hours, based on an inconcluded 2008 reason beat and some Roland MC303 loop I had since the early 2000s, the day some dude lend me the a cheapo Zoom 1204 multieffect rack unit.

Maybe I felt it was fine to mess with some forgotten idea. Nothing to write home about, but I'm glad I managed to post this final week smile

Thanks to everybody that has been present in the comments, listening and dropping marvelous GIFs. Yo guys and girls have been amazing! It help me a lot when I was struggling through difficult times. I really really mean it

I've been here since 2012, and every WB edition, I'm positively overwhelmed by the sheer quality of the posts. I'd love to do some sort of compilation of my favourite WB songs. It is unfair that such good music goes unnoticed. I was thinking about a semiregular podcast, featuring selected tracks and an interview with each artist. If you think it's a good idea and are up to it, please let me know.

It would be great to know the Weeklybeats family a little better, after almost a decade of reading you and listening to your wonderful art.

For all of you out there around the world I wish you a fantastic 2021. Have some great new year and I'm already looking forward to hear you again smile

I agree totally with your thoughts. I discovered Weekly beats this year but what has been impressive is the amount of talent here. Very very cool tracks, artists that have their unique voice and vision and just do music because they love it. The quality is very high and it's indeed a shame that some does not go more noticed or analyzed in depth. I am also curious about the background of the gang of pirates in this community. It seems we're all from various different backgrounds, ages, countries, professions. It's cool in a way that we don't know but sometimes it makes me curious. I like your idea of a podcast! I'd listen to that!

Cool final track!

This is an outstanding percussion track. Love how it is bouncing and the dubby vibe. Best 4 U in 2021.

I know it’s been a challenging year for you, glad you were still around to post what you could.  This one is a serious head nodder, like the lurching feel of the beat with the dubby stabs.  Really great idea for the podcast, I would like to listen to that and learn more about the people and music on this site.  Stay healthy and safe, have a Happy New Year!

Love the beat, man! I hope you have a wonderful new year. Come back in 2022; I love listening to your stuff! smile

Dig it! Love that big reverb, dubby delay. Dubbing it right on! I didn't catch too many of your tracks in 2020, but hey, cheers to another year, and check you back in 2022 hopefully!

Yo, I'd be down for a podcast. We sorta half-assed one in the Discord, but anything for exposure would absolutely help.

This is so nice, jason described it perfectly as having that cool lurching feeling. I really need to catch up on your tracks. A podcast is a lovely idea, I would listen to it for sure. Have a great year off, I hope it's better than this one heart
