Bubbles in focus

This week I went a little bit on the glitch way, building things almost by accident: I had some snippets of incomplete jams with my Roland SP-505 sampler, which I don't own anymore. Couldn't see any useful idea on them, so I chopped and rearranged most pieces, while others remained the same.

The piece got completely stuck almost all week. Lots of work and really tired, it was Sunday and I thought that maybe some old breaks could give it some purpose.

I really don't know what to think about this one. I found it a little bit messy and confusing. It has five bass tracks instead of my usual ones, with some internal Ableton synths and my first use of Reaktor in a track, playing the stock Spark synth. The final break is the marvelous "Make it mellow" by the Soul Investigators, sampled from Youtube and passed through my beloved Akai s3000xl rig for extra crunch.

Hope you like it. I'd love to walk the correct path towards my idea of what "synth hop" could be smile

Nice rich sounds from all the delays in the background, making their own melodies... once the pad comes it, there are more Laguna style big beatz, i see... it's almost morphing styles isn't it?

Love the DAW screenshot!  Everyone should do this!  Very cool to see "what's under the hood".

Things get REAL when the drum break comes in.  Your synth choices are very "bouncy" and really help mirror the bounce of the beat.  Twinkling melodies are le bomb as well.  Tremendous job!

Love it! Getting electro this week, love that crunchy s3000 sound smile

Awesome groove. The bass and pad + drums really fill in each other's gaps as it progresses. All sounds great together.

Bien ahi hombre!
Ableton also it's my favorite DAW para componer música, no lo cambio por nada y me parece lo mejor. Your track has a hip hop vibe so good man, I lke it!

Mantente dándole a eso!

Wonderful breaks. Awesome track!

This is really cool--I like the little fills and variations going on.  The initial beat/groove is good, and then it gets even better after the breakdown as you introduce new voices, each one adding something essential, and the breaks are placed perfectly.   Totally badass.   (From that arrangement view...your stuff seems a lot cleaner than my usual chaos.)

Sheesh: it looks like I missed the two previous weeks of your pieces.  Going to correct that now.

Really enjoyed this, lots of variation and great progression to the track, holds your attention from start to finish as each new element is introduced

I like that chorusy synth and how it sweeps across at the end of a bar.  That bridge pad fits perfectly in the mix too.  Nice work as usual!

Really dig this mate :-)

This bubbles, Love your Rhytms smile
