This week I had a pretty decent boom bap track, IMHO, but when Sunday morning, I couldn't get the recordings out of my (vintage?) hard disk recorder out. Honestly it wasn't a HDD recorder problem, but I was messing with the patch bay and I think I unplugged something unintentionaly.

Anyway, I had to travel to work (a 5 hour drive, more less) and I hadn't enough time, so I revisited last week's missed upload (I missed the upload deadline by a couple of minutes), stripped some really mediocre drum programming and substitute that for a Casio VL1

It's nothing special, I know, but I think this tine piece is kinda cute, in it's own way.

I feel i've wasted most of this year "getting late to everything", and I'm sad it's almost over, but I'll try again next week.

Hope you have some great seven next days, WB People! Lots of love from your invisible friend in Spain smile

I love this drumsound. you are very close to the VL-1. I spend my childhood with it. 2020 I made a track for WB with my Casio and the OP-1. have a good week.

Vielen Dank, Q Rosh!

Although I mainly use samples of my original VL-1 now instead of the real thing, I've always thought those two tones fit perfectly into almost anything. They still are one of the first sounds I port to my Maschine/MPC/whatever sampler I test. Let's put some VL love into some more tracks for years to come smile

I wish you the best of weeks, also. Take care, man!

With all the adventures that happened to you last week, it's a miracle you uploaded this one. Thank you for sharing this music! It has a very nice buildup, from being super minimalist, to having these delicate bells building progressively into something subtle and delicate. That was a very enjoyable track! smile

magical vibe, made more magical by the simple tones underpinning it smile
