Weekly Beat 8 - Microbrute vs. Volca Beats

By Kris Keyser on February 23, 2014 11:33 pm

This week I wanted to try and finally use my Microbrute on a track- realizing that both the Microbrute and Volca Beats have CV sync capabilities, I practiced jamming on them this week and came up with what I thought was a pretty decent set of sequencer patterns on both and just let loose. This is one take of Microbrute running the built in sequencer and sending CV gate to the sync in on the Volca Beats, which is running its sequencer.  It's not as structured as my songs usually are, but then again, i only have two hands smile

Nice one. Now try to make the MB sound mellow cool

Working on that haha. I'm sure I can find a way to with enough practice.

Cool piece. Like how it's going crazy, then back to pattern, then crazy again etc.

Pretty cool, love the experimentation.

This is fun.

Dude, I want both of these. I'm really surprised by how flexible the beats sound.

WWaaaaahhh!  Everyone has a Microbrute!!  I really like the sound of the Volca in this one.

Is that possible, or it's like trying to drive slow with a Ferrari? smile

On its own it's a bit harder to get mellower sounds, with effects it's definitely possible.
