Cutting Through The Clouds

By Kris Keyser on August 12, 2018 4:21 pm

My Mutable Instruments Plaits arrived! I love the sound of this thing. This is another modular track with bass via the Make Noise STO, and reverb from MI clouds and delay via Chronoblob.

Very cool, it almost sounds like you sampled a bunch of beach-y nature sounds, feels very organic!

Yeah, part of this is a field recording I originally did on a walkman with a built in mic, then recorded to SD card and played back on my Expert Sleepers Disting.
Thanks as always for the comment Lydia!

Like what Lydia said, I love how technical and mechanical your description is and it resulted in such a lovely, natural sounding tune haha heart

Man this sounds great!  I don't get how you modular kids do it, but I love the results!
