The Explorers

I recently discovered this Mandolin instrument patch in Reason’s sound bank. I absolutely love how realistic it sounds, and when crafted with the perfect notes and the subtle touch of filters, the instrument comes alive.

The spoken word sample used in the break, an interview of Terence McKenna, was added only after this track was practically finished. I'm so pleased (and kinda tripped-out) with how perfect this sample fit in both concept and aesthetic.

Hypnotic, and beautifully mixed. Faved.

Welcome to WB.

It really sounds surprisingly real! I expected some more canned sounds.

Did you know that The Shamen sampled a different part of that interview in their track "Re-Evolution" circa 1992, I think. Works really well with your stuff, by the way. You've made a beautiful track

Very nicely done and good use of speech.

The spoken word sample fits perfect with the track. The bass combined with the mandolin sounds great too.  Nice work! smile

Dude, that Mandolin sounds so awesome. Great vibe to this. Excellent work, Kobee!
