Experiments in the dark

This one was certainly much more fun to do than it will be to listen to it. One could say, easily done in 10 minutes and even a 2 year old could do it. Hold on, actually a 2 year old did this! My son enjoyed the fact that he could use my Kinect to run around in the room and produce funny sounds. The Kinect was hooked up to a generative Max Patch creating random sounds (3 different sources) which was triggered by a Ianix Sequencer (to produce random OSC messages).
The idea was really to test my skills in Max to create a sound installation which the listener can interact with by moving around and making gestures. That part took me a good week to build, unfortunately it leaves the actual musical product to be improved. But in the spirit of experiments I decided to upload this nonetheless.

cooL! Love the concept and creativity! Sounds really interesting, do you have any videos of it in action? big_smile:D:D::D

it's... experimental. your son's a genius! but you probably already knew that.

PS it actually sounds pretty good!!

Well, so much for years of study...

Whoops: valid comment, but on the wrong piece.  Still--I like this one!
