Divine Comedy

I still dream of doing an audioscape that describes Dante's Inferno. This is the moment where Dante and Virgill are standing in front of the gates of hell...
In terms of production this started with the idea to use the glitch sounds of my Eurorack to create Rhythm Patterns etc. Mostly this is still the case but I cheated a little bit by sampling my Bastl Kick Drum Module. Other than that this all sounds are a Moog Mother, Mutable Instruments Clouds (Granular thingy) and Pittsburgh Modular Filters.
Vocals are done by my computer. I find it somewhat funny how the algorithm of that totally misses an interpretation of what it is that is being read, but I guess we are still some time off before a computer actually gets what they read.

Very mysterious! I love the voice samples, they're really well mixed in heart

Great use of accent shifts. I find the flat affect of computer voices an interesting way of distancing the text.
