Red Stripe Clown

In a backlash from last week's whatever that was, I've simplified this week. The entire track was performed live via my Eurorack modular in one take. I have endeavored to use the modular to make more traditionally harmonic music, and this is a beginning step in that progression.

Instrumentation:

A bass loop is initially played into the modular and stored in Mutable Instruments' Clouds.
That loop is processed and used as part of a melodic/harmonic patch.
Vocals are sung over as various layers of the patch are modified live.
Additionally, the vocal mic triggers an envelope follower which affects the harmonic layers as well.

Simple but a really cool sound.  I like the little wafts of vocals that pass through the mix.

Subtle.

Hypnotic and engaging!

like the vocal layering against the electronic sounds.
