Putting my hands on a tracker again feels supremely weird, yet somehow very natural. I put off buying an M8 for awhile because I was focused on live looping twitch streams and playing all my "real" instruments, but it fulfills a lot of my desires in a tracker (as it was obviously intended to do). I'm sure I won't be the only one using Weekly Beats this year to learn and get comfortable with this device. I'm sure I will eventually start layering all my other instruments over M8 tracks, but my overaching goal this year is creating music I can use as new backing tracks for my YouTube channel about foam flinging ("Nerf blasters", for the uninitiated). I've used all original music so far on the channel, but my supply of random usable jams from previous years' weekly and daily song challenges runneth dry.
