Final Finaly 52

Weeklybeats has been an amazing and really tiring project at the same time. I was sure I could only manage for 8 weeks or so, but somehow, I kept it going until the end. What amazes me the most is that, even during those weeks when inspiration was nowhere to be found, I still managed to get something out.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the value of simply pushing through and releasing “something,” even if it feels imperfect. Sometimes, in the middle of those uninspired moments, surprising ideas emerge. It also taught me to be okay with sharing unfinished or raw work—it doesn’t always have to be polished to perfection.

Next, I’ll be curating these tracks into a Bandcamp release and putting together a full album of the best pieces. I’m also planning to craft a live set based on this year’s work. If there’s one thing I’ve discovered, it’s that my best creations this year came from using Nanoloop and the Perkons—so that’s definitely the setup I’ll stick with moving forward.

This week’s tune is a study of what happens when one channel of the Perkons is run through Steampipe. Steampipe can really make anything sound like the soundscape of an Alien movie.
