Shards

Another brutal week at work. And hopefully some days off coming soon, really needing that. And i need to catch up on all the beautiful music of the community!

A rather simple track, that is a strong counterpoint to the heat of the summer in Japan. This track smells more of a late October evening.

Sometimes fall vibes are a nice antidote to the summer heat.  I'm get a noir feeling from this actually.  I can see a detective walking down the street as the rain pours down.  Hope work eases up a bit for you.

I just noticed that the volume of the track is very low. I must have forgotten something during the final processing (where's my soundgoodizer when i need it).

Rain is nice. smile

Nous aussi à Montreal, on a une vague de chaleur intense. Une pluie fraiche ferait pas de tord.

Les saxophones sont très bien. Ambiance réussie.

I feel the rough work week... must be something in the air.  I hope you're time off is rejuvenating.  I really love this track... it feels like it belongs in a noir detective game... with gravely poetic narration over it about the tribulations of life as a freelance detective.  Very nice.

Coincidentally I just watched a documentary on Miles Davis the other day, so hearing the muted trumpet here caused a buncha feels right away.

Quite a dramatic piano solo in the middle!

Oh, wow, this is cinematic and full of associations. I am having my own movie with this. Hope you are  having moments for filling up your batteries this week.

Enjoyed the chord progression and ambiance!

Transported to this rainy avenue, the trumpet draws us into the dim smoky club with neon lights. That trumpet sounds so good. I appreciate the counterpoint to the heat, I needed to cool down too in the hot summer. Hope work gets better soon!

Yes i think you're right. I can see the movie noir atmosphere of this track. I think the footsteps do contribute to that. I am obsessed with the sound of footsteps in the ultimate noir movie, Le Samourai.

Ah yes Miles Davis, a n of 1, a unique human with serpet eyes. Like him, in all his eccentricities. Thank you for comment about the piano. smile

Batteries more or less recharged! Thank you! Vacations are mandatory for mental health.

Things are going better and hopefully this will give more energy for more tracks! Thank you for the nice comment!

WOW. I almost though I was listening to Ochre for a second, which is a super rare feeling. That dude is one of my favorite electronic composers of all time and you inadvertantly nailed down his sound there at the beginning. Really beautiful track dude.

beautiful lo-fi music to study to

the rain is a perfect touch

this is still in the hotline miami synthwave universe since i am listening to your tracks in reverse order
