Breeze

The sound of a wind chime, some cello and bass, acoustic guitar and a guitar doodle. I am not sure about this track, but it is somehow about the impermanence of things. Appropriate for our time.

Neat! especially when it kicks into high gear midway through. Really enjoying the arrangement and melodies here.

Cool how it starts out ephemeral sounding and barely there and then develops some real muscle as it goes along.  Ending with the windchimes again makes for a nice return to silence.

Very cool, love the ominous strings.

All hail the guitar doodle I say!  tongue

The acoustic almost sounds like a harpsichord (programmed I'm guessing) but it does kind of matches the cello for a period piece of sorts in the first half.  The guitar part in the second half ties that section together nicely.

I am getting a beautiful baroque music feeling in the first 2 minutes. the main part with your guitar doodle is fantastic with the use of the flanger effect. I always love songs with wind chimes. well done.

Great to try some new ideas, I feel at this point I’m trying to do the same rather then doing what’s easy or comfortable.  This has a great blend of sounds, cello adds some nice tension before the pace picks up for the second half.

It's so beautiful, like a storm, so many things can and do happen
- Ebrit

Love the way this song transforms in its second half. It's like there's a quiet guy sitting on a bench, chilling in the breeze, but then you burst out of his chest and shout "HAHA! IT WAS I, KEDBREAK, ALL ALONG!"

I think it must be the bass line.

I just lost how I got here, Breezy, this is awesome.

Love the extended intro letting you know something ominous is on the horizon.  The progression from the more organic acoustic sound into the darker electronic side is a nice contrast and they come together nicely.  The wind chime/cello outro was an excellent touch.  Here and gone in an instant.

Wooh, carried away on this tasty breeze ... from a breezy lovely calm doodle, to a galloping wind, and soaring, we take flight. Hey, sweet drum sounds, those toms!

oooh the bit at 2:13 was unexpected and fantastic.... really dynamic piece!

Really great build up and and love the choices of sounds along the way.

Thank you! This track feels a bit like 2 tracks crashed into each other by accident. smile

To be honest, I was a bit stuck where to take the track and that's where I added my good old bass synth sound and decided to doodle some guitar on top. That kinda took it into a different direction, which is not a bad thing.

Yes this is a programmed "guitar". Actually I use the Flex plugin "Ace of Stars", which does not sound half bad for guitar. When I program guitar, for some reason it tends to go into baroque territory, not really sure why. I could not even play in that kind of way when I play a normal guitar so this may be an artifcat of how I use the piano roll in FL studio.

Wind chimes are such a delightful sound! Pure tone, created by the randomness of wind. Thank you! I think listening to your fantastic guitar layered tracks has inspired me to try out more with actual instruments and enjoying sound sculpture. I need to explore that more, this was fun.

Yes, agreed totally. It is easy to go to the same old formula, and I am often guilty of it. But Weekly beats is the perfect opportunity to try things out of the beaten path, and maybe discover along the way a hidden path into a very pretty grove.

That must be the bass line. smile I have used that sound in like 80% of my tracks.

Haha that chestbursting schene reminded me of Spaceballs.
