Warp Star Cafe

Been off a few weeks but we're back for now!

I actually finished this track for last week's submission but ended up holding back because i wanted to add in a vocaloid type part towards the ending to match a section of the piano into the ending. But an out-of-town wedding and some work stuff kept pushing back learning synthesizer v so I'm releasing this as I left it last week with plans for a vocaloid remix later in time. I also picked up a norns clone I'm hoping to start implementing into tracks soon too - more on that later.

the piano is a sliced sample, had to double up certain parts so it punched through the mix. Plenty of individual track mixing commands and AMP fx commands on this one. Way easier than trying to mix solely on the m8's mixing screen - at least for me. those soft snes type chords are straight outta the m8's fm synth engine - truly the secret sauce to some song ideas lately. the bass is a csaw custom bass i built inspired by some moe shop frog bass.

s/o to Ilzxc who partly inspired me to revisit an old song idea and follow-through on building it into a full expression of an idea. This started as a 4 bar type breakbeat loop, some chord progressions later and it took off.

bless! thanks for stopping by!

So uplifting and i like how it starts to ebb and flow in surging waves with the piano near the middle(…and then a clear spacious plateau after…)… so many choice moves keep it interesting and refreshing! heart
