"Climate change models predict that extreme heat events, or heat waves, will become more frequent and intense, and such events will have a major impact on areas that are not well adapted to them. Increased mortality is a common feature of heat waves, particularly among the elderly. Many of these deaths are related to cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and respiratory causes, and may be exacerbated in urban environments due to the urban heat island effect... Ultraviolet (UV) radiation has long been linked to skin cancers and cataracts. Although ozone depletion and associated increases in UV exposure are generally considered to be separate from global warming, a recent report by the World Health Organization highlights that global warming may interact with stratospheric ozone depletion, resulting in increased UV exposure..."

This is frightening but a realistic scenario. your song is capturing that in a perfect way. your voice is very courtney love like, this week. thank you for the warning.

Spooky vocals, they obviously go extremely well with the subject, really effective mood.  Great work!

Dark track.  I like the vocals and the percussion a lot.  Sounds kind of melted at times, goes with the theme well.

This has a real primal feel to it.  Cool beat and vocals. Great sound effects and atmosphere. Like those "test tone" sounds at the beginning.

Beautiful lament for the end times. Can't say we didn't know it was coming.

Your production has really improved since the start of this year.  Really like the percussion and vocal elements in this track.  Nice work.

Nice singing. Ominous to say the least.

Beautiful. Love that guitar solo at the end.

The drums were my favorite, really nice sound to them smile

thank you - it was just a stock garage-band drum loop that i messed with a bit - they kept peaking in the red and sounding all blown out then got buried in the mix - i almost gave up on them.  Before giving up on this piece - I scrapped what I had been messing with - went back to an old saved file & turned everything down. It seemed to fix the problem.  I was kind of annoyed at how easy that fix was after messing around with the track for hours. It seemed like a gremlin in the computer.  Really it's just my ignorance with mixing & mastering.

Ooooh, I hate when that kind of problem happens. For me what ends up happening the most is I'll hit the modwheel on my keyboard by accident while the focus is on another instrument. It'll mess up the cutoff or some other setting and I won't realize until much later, then spend some time trying to get it to sound just right again and second guess myself. I want to blame gremlins as well sometimes big_smile
