Bit different this week - my musical project was micing up and recording a friend's drumming, ending up with around 50 different beats/samples/one-shots and jams, to put together into a drum 'sample pack'.

I think the result was pretty good - despite my moderate mic setup and a few weak links in the recording chain. A solid mix and lots of tweaking on the compressors brought everything to life quite a lot.

Lots of compression and some v slight tweaks in the EQ and not much else.

uploaded here is a fairly long jam to get the jist of the project across - and something we'll be doing more of and improving each time. With the intention of uploading as a purchasable 'sample pack'
