Your playing and vocals are stellar as usual.  Nice concept and hook and well written lyrics, to boot. smile

Thanks Ed. I was so frustrated with this recording. I'm trying to build up tracks but i found playing to a grid is quite helpful when the song is getting more complex than just a live performance, like when you want to double track the guitar and get the vocals tight, it's all just easier, but i get so frustrated with a click cuz of the small little spaces between sections, and so i just went ahead and quit and did a live one take thing.

I have a hard time playing to a click with my acoustic because I can hear the guitar through the headphones and from it's ambience. I find that if I turn the slider most of the way down and just listen to the ambient guitar that it helps a bit.  I'm not sure I have very good timing anyway, though, even though as formerly primarily a bass player that's supposed to be my job.  So I usually end up trying to lay down a drum track first and then turn down the guitar volume and just try to play along with the beat of the drums.  Sometimes my timing is way off, like this week.  Other times it seems to be spot on.

Anyway, I always enjoy listening to your work because you have mad guitar skills.  Makes me feel like a bit of a poseur.  wink
