Cordelia

Another incredibly stressful week means another incredibly low-stress song. This one's a tune I've been kicking around for years, as a fan theme song for the "evil" "queen" Cordelia from Cucumber Quest. (http://cucumber.gigidigi.com/)

Originally I wanted to use a harpsichord patch or something, but thought "oh what if I try speeding up a piano and see if that sounds more harpsichordy" and ended up just.... speeding up a piano only a little bit because I liked the slightly-off sound.

........and then decided to go full ham and record some vaguely menacing evil queen laughter to sprinkle in there. I like to imagine her humming her own theme music when nobody else is around as her high heeled-footsteps echo in the castle halls, if only because Peridot made the song up for her.

Nice piano work, though I feel the vocals could do with a little reappropriation, right now it just sounds like some woman moaning over it (whether in a dungeon or in a dungeon is up for debate) when it could've been a soundscape of villainy by having her laugh maniacally in one point and grunting in another.

Makes sense! I'll mess that aspect some more before posting it anywhere else.
