What I would have put in the description if I finished 5 minutes earlier... XD
Dirtywave M8 for samples, drums, bass. Rendered stems and moved to Ableton Live to add a lead with Pigments. Did the whole render-instrument-to-audio-then-reverse-then-add-reverb-then-reverse-it-again trick. Threw a glue compressor on the master with 90 seconds to go, rendered to mp3 and copied it over here without listening to the whole thing.
I dig the heavy synth bass and the high synth punching on all the ands. Headbanger for sure. Also the intro killed me, was not ready for that haha.
I'm a complete sucker for thick bass and pseudo-side-chained pumping, but it runs the risk of getting monotonous. The little “twidle-y-dos” are great at breaking that up, here! And the “BEEP” and “BOOP” give it that extra crunch and interest at the end. It may be phoned in, but it definitely doesn't feel half-assed. :+1:
I love the intro, really tells you what you're going to be in for.

You can edit the submission and change the description. Just be sure not to remove it when you're done.

(You can edit the descriptions anytime -- "Edit Submission" button). Excited to hear about this workflow w/ M8 because I've done the same also. Tried to do a couple of MIDI-controlled bits instead of going to Live, but Live is just so damn easy & convenient, particularly when out of time. Enjoyed the jam (baaangaaa) but the intro is delectable -- a sample & that snare fx = perfect moment.
This is great, love the elastic pulsing beat and the stabbing rhythms put on top!
