Ett litet problem

By jr on March 22, 2026 8:01 pm

Last week I tried setting up something resembling a bedroom music making environment. Spent quite some time researching the audio situation on Linux, getting Wine to work with some VSTs - to some success and some grief - learning Bitwig etc. This week things are more stable, but I did not really have much time left to do the actual music...

So I went back to more familiar territories, fired up Musescore and sketched some orchestral thingy - a slow movement with a calm melodic line in the violins, mostly trying to keep it harmonic and somewhat balanced. Did not have much time left toward the end, which made for a somewhat abrupt ending and I got lazy with counterpoint. Also forgot to give any part to a brass instrument. Anyway, quite happy to have turned something in this week smile

Happy music making!

Wow so refreshing to hear some orchestral compositions on here! Great work heart

Whoa, so cool! Indeed very refreshing to hear a well orchestrated classical piece in this space.
Beautiful!

lovely orchestral sound that makes me feel like i'm sitting in a concert hall.  well done!

Lovely little ditty.  Sounds decent for something coming out of Musescore. All built in sounds?

a great diversion from the norms of WB content. Great arragnement.

Wow!

What a break from the norm.

Lovely string scoring, inspiring!

Thanks for the nice comments smile

Yes, everything is built in. They're quite decent, at least for certain styles I think.
