Started this little idea and felt like it didn't need much more than an intro/outro to be 'finished'. I really love the idea and challenge of Weekly Beats. It has been forcing me to learn/implement/iterate with the m8. Which is honestly my favorite instrument right next to (and maybe slightly above) the Hydrasynth. I actually just uploaded a bundle of sounds made on the m8 inspired by some of my favorite Hydrasynth patches to the dirtywave discord server. I'm pretty sure next weeks track will feature some of those sounds but this weeks I wanted to keep things kinda simple as I'm still wrapping my noodle around the m8.
I recently learned how to make this sucker do swing and proper triplets so that's why this one has a 'alley cat on heroin' vibe. Hence the title and vocal sample smile
Hope you enjoy!

Lovely tight low end and crunchy sounddesign. Feels like the soundtrack to a swamp level or some back alley gambling minigame.

Just downloaded your m8 preset pack, sound great! Might try to do a track using just those sounds.

Wow, thank you so much! I couldn't decide between this and the track I eventually submitted for the 'crunchy' discord jam challenge. This definitely has more crunch but the one I submitted also had some 'daily life' samples so ya know...feed two birds with one seed.

And double wow for downloading the Hydra_m8 preset pack! I would be truly honored to hear what you do with some of those sounds
