Get Me Right

By Joshua Morgan on May 10, 2026 3:57 am

First jungle thing I've done on the m8 that I feel really good about.
Could have spent more time with the mix, but I totally forgot about WB this week as I've had a slew of other music related projects that required my more immediate attention.
Made entirely on the m8, with punch in FX and gentle compression from a good 'ol EZbot octatrack performance template. Recorded into Ableton and with a touch of Sausage Fattener (bc like OTT and sriracha it goes on EVERYTHING!)

When that beat hits

This one got me right. Lovely jazzy keys/chords and solid beats. Crunchy warm overdrive that enhaces without losing definition and openness. That stereo panned effect around 1:20 is a perfect introduction to the floaty vibe that comes after.

I love these laid back jungle tracks, that bass is so buttery smooth, really nice change up midway and some nice vocal samples.

I like your songs abstract layout, 3 or so different parts. The guitar one in the beginning is my favorite. Not to mention how well you transition to each one.

Snare and clipped hat are nice and sharp throughout. The rhodes in the intro is gorgeous, and layered arp/coin is like watching a tree bloom. *Love* the warping chip riff ~0:56, and the big underwater pads that come in at 1:24 feel like that but evolved. And after all this prettiness, there's still time for digital crunch. This felt like watching you pull out a bag of tricks, one after another.
