Flying (bypass your eyes)

By Joe Galen on May 20, 2012 9:17 pm

I found myself making this on a Tuesday night. Started just playing my guitar for fun, and ended up with this: pleased with myself and had loads of fun! I've been kite flying lots recently, not sure if the words and that are related.

love the spoken word, gorgeous guitar. really like this!

Very nicely done.

Very nice stuff. Gorgeous recording!

This is kindof inspiring.  However I wouldn't want people to forget the difference between wrong and right.. Though I'm pretty sure a lot have already.  The recording is amazing by the way, what mic do you use?

Wow thanks everyone.. It's strange how things that come from a spur of the moment idea, are often the most evocative. The recording was just done with my variax guitar (so it's actually an electric guitar, DI'd into my soundcard and a bog standard SM58! I usually use my Octava capacitor for vocals, but I was too lazy to plug it in yikes) Quite a lot of EQ on the vocals taking out the lower frequencies. Thanks again!!
