My composition this week was about the process, and old and new friends meeting each other.  For the first time in years of owning the Korg ER-1, I wanted to try and put together a song just using the "song mode" on it -- no other instrument.

I then ran it into my Octatrack, processing it by setting up several scenes of effects and 'playing' the scenes live.  I recorded the output, applied a bit of compression, and here we are -- it's minimally harsh, and harshly minimal, but I'm pretty pleased with it.

good sounds and effects. It feels unobtrusive and flows. I don't detect much structure, but that's solid for hardware only

chambermusiclike miniature. tributing the ER1. i like. thanks!

unique

very nice. I enjoyed the use of sound fx to keep the track moving

cool

liking that old radio sounding stuff in the background. wicked

funky ish bro

was that compressed line noise i heard at the very end? no judgement, srsly, just curious

@ntrval hahaha, yeah as some of the parallel effects processing I was doing I had a really boosted compressed sort of sound that I liked how it sounded at the end.  the outputs on the ER1 are hardly the cleanest
