M8: Vopo Thicc

By jimmac on March 13, 2022 5:51 pm

A little downtempo tune for some drone action. Recorded a couple of weeks back, met up with a friend testing his "big rig". The tune was produced on the Dirtywave m8 with no post processing. Samples by Blank Forms (Blur I believe). Nothing catchy and probably not worth a lot standalone, but works with the footage I think.

Music works really well - love those shots from the chase drone - they are so fluid and together with the music feels like I am watching a UFO explore the earth.  Reminds me a little of a game called (i think) EXO ONE.

That video is so damn pretty -- and I disagree, I think this is perfect driving music, but I'll get back to you on that. smile

Organic af. When that amen comes in…

That looks like a beautiful game! I missed an opportunity with some wind fx.

It took its time, though smile It's a bit repetitive, ain't it?

I love this kind of beat+mood noodling.  Particularly fond of the groove of the beats at ~02:01–02:21 and ~03:42—03:49

The video makes me want to learn how to fly drones.

Seriously?!  Your stuff always sounds so polished.  I'm getting better at mixing directly on the M8 bit by bit, but it's a slow process.  The skill level of some of you M8 WBers is unreal.
