M8: Acid Push

By jimmac on May 15, 2022 6:42 pm

No video this week. Made this track while barbecuing on a lazy Sunday. What joy! Not that the track is a joyful happy one, but I felt achievement smile One day I'll make it into something.

Nothing acidy about this one, I just reworked the track from a few phrases and replaced everything. everything but the title.

(Grrr, I thought I left a comment on Sunday.)

This doesn't need any video. Downtempo jimmac is exciting, but hearing a plucked string in your music will forever be special. (I can still play the opening from The Sphere on the piano, just saying.)

The bass emerging around 1:02-03 -- what is this? How did you do this? heart

lofi beats to code to

the main plucky patch is sweet, love the moments the filter opens and you realize it's secretly an acid patch

I like when people see my elite sophistication in these random accidents wink

Mr. Multi-tasker here! How was the BBQ?

Love the more mellow acid + the pluck string is some of the best I've heard yet
